L L Koulsty Digs Deep to Land Naas Rated Race

L L Koulsty gave the yard a memorable result at Naas on Saturday evening, digging deep to land the TRM Stay Cool Stay Sound Rated Race over seven furlongs. Sent off at 4/1 under Rory Mulligan, the three-year-old disputed the early lead before edging ahead after two and a half furlongs. Pushed along over two furlongs out and briefly joined, he found more when it mattered, keeping on gamely under pressure inside the final furlong to hold Yaupon De Replay by a short head, with the 8/13 favourite Ocean's Breath back in third. It was a performance full of courage from L L Koulsty, who saw out the trip strongly on good ground in a valuable contest.
